NC BEAUTIFUL MISSION:

To foster environmental stewardship through education and outreach to perpetuate the natural beauty of North Carolina.

PROPOSAL REVIEW & EVALUATION:

Proposals will be selected based on a peer review process by other North Carolina teachers and members of the NC Beautiful staff and board. They will use the following point system to make a final selection.

Design (up to 30 points)
Project Evaluation (up to 25 points)
Budget (up to 10 points)
Project Personnel (up to 15 points)
Project Sustainability (up to 20 points)

GRANT CALENDAR:

Guidelines available to Teachers	September 1, 2009
Application Submission period	September 1 – November 10, 2009
Notification to Awardees	December 11, 2009
Award checks mailed	January 11, 2010
Grant Period	January 21 – June 21, 2010
Final Report with Receipts	June 21, 2010
Next Grant Cycle	July, 2010 – June, 2011
